HE Sheikha Tamader Al Thani, Director of International Relations and Chamber Affairs at Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Qatar, begins her first term, commencing from 2023 – 2025, as a World Chambers Federation (WCF) General Council Member. HE Sheikha Tamader was elected by the WCF's chamber members, who took to the AwardStage platform to cast their votes for 20 candidates from the 18th of November 2022 to the 6th of December 2022. HE Sheikha Tamader was among the 37 highly competitive pool of candidates and chamber leaders from 37 countries, covering every region of the world, who submitted their candidacy to serve on the WCF General Council and expressed readiness and commitment to protect the role of chambers of commerce and support the WCF in its role of representing the global interests of chambers within the ICC. The WCF General Council is the governing body that sets the strategic direction and development of WCF's services. It is part of the World Chambers Federation (WCF), a unique branch of the ICC that connects, leads and inspires the global network of chambers and their respective business communities. It represents the interest of over 1,400 chambers from around the world. The WCF also strengthens links among chambers and helps individual chambers better serve their business communities.
